After gaining a business and finance qualification, specialising in marketing, I soon moved into a sales and marketing managerial role in a construction products manufacturing business. Extensive experience was gained in strategic and creative marketing as well as sales in the UK and across the rest of Europe.
Five years later I went on to become general manager of this business, responsible for three manufacturing operations in the UK whilst retaining the overall sales as well as the strategic and creative marketing brief.
Following the company's acquisition of three additional businesses I was asked to take on the role of marketing director of what became the third largest manufacturer of hard landscaping products in the UK. In addition to strategic and creative marketing this role included responsibility for product development, customer services and logistics as well as special projects including the development of a new line of business computer system.
After nearly three years in this role I went on to work for one of the world's leading manufacturers of access equipment in the role of head of marketing and product development.
In 2008, advance, my strategic and creative marketing consultancy was born.
